Our Team.
Let us introduce you to our hard working team at Little Petals Day Nursery.

Tracey Hustings
Owner/Manager
Tracey has been working in the early years sector for over 23 years. Tracey started her career in the seaside town of Bournemouth and worked her way quickly up the ladder from apprentice to supervisor in 4 short years. She gained a wealth of experience in special educational needs at this time working as the nursery SENDCO. Since then Tracey has worked in various childcare related positioned including nurseries, in the NHS with babies and their unwell mothers in a perinatal mental health unit, as a private nanny, with special educational needs children in a respite centre and as a 1:1 and SENDCO in nurseries. Tracey moved to the local area 3 years ago and worked in a few nurseries in the area before opening her own setting in Oxfordshire. Tracey's passion for ensuring SEN equality and working closely with parents to ensure continuity of care and a nurturing environment is the driving force behind Little Petals Day Nursery's ethos.

Erika Bell
Practitioner
Erika joined Little Petals Day Nursery at the very beginning in March 2025. She came to us having worked in 2 other local settings and gaining her Level 3 Qualification. Erika has her own son who attends Little Petals Day Nursery and is thriving. Erika is keen to keep learning and is currently undertaking a SENDCO course. Erika understands the importance of working closely with parents; as she can see from both sides the benefits this has on her own son. This helps her embed the nurseries ethos and commitment to ensuring we work closely and communicate effectively with our parents from day one.

Chris Whipp
Practitioner/Handyman
Chris initially came to Little Petals Day Nursery as our handy man. He helped Tracey to prepare the safe, nurturing environment that was built and designed to support our children's growth and development. Although he continues to fix and build new resources for us; he now is undertaking his level 3 qualification in childcare. Chris has some experience with children having had 2 of his own and being actively involved in all aspects since their birth. Chris has built a unique bond with all our children who love and adore the days when Chris joins us at Little Petals Day Nursery. Having a male practitioner brings a more rounded aspect to our team and he is a positive male role model to the children.

Alesha Bishop
Pracitioner
Alesha has joined us as an apprentice having worked with slightly older children previously. Alesha is a valuable member of staff who is keen to learn and progress in Early Years. Outside of work Alesha enjoys spending time with her family and socialising with friends.
